Flight instructors use the T-6, T-1 and T-38 for flight instruction. Mission: The 340th Flying Training Group and the Readiness Management Group, Detachment 7 are based at Randolph, and both operate at a variety of locations. For example, the 450 Reserve instructor pilots of the 340th teach at five facilities, including the U.S. Air Force Academy.
