The Air Force Reserve is a different kind of military experience. For instance, the majority of the jobs are part-time, meaning there is a minimal time commitment. But the pay is competitive and the benefit package is substantial. Another characteristic is that those who join serve where they live. This means that those in the Air Force Reserve are your co-workers and neighbors. To demonstrate its commitment to local communities, the Air Force Reserve participates in many events annually, and Reservists and Recruiters are available to talk about their missions and duties.

The Air Force Reserve participates in events such as Monster Jam, an action packed automotive dual, and the Action Sports Tour, where top professionals compete in the extreme sports of skateboarding, BMX, freestyle motocross (FMX) and inline skating. These events are held in various cities around the United States.

A big supporter of air shows, the Air Force Reserve display is at dozens of shows around the United States. Additionally, the Reserve sponsors the Air Force Reserve Jet Car, which hits 400 mph in eight seconds, and the Air Force Reserve Biplane, which "sky dances" through Cuban Eights and snap rolls.
